PopulationCouncil Consulting, in partnership with Nivi India and Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science and Research, and in collaboration with the Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India and the Centre for Northeast Studies and Policy Research, will adapt, test, and scale ‘a digital marketplace (chat based digital support system)’ – askNivi- in the State of Assam in India. AskNivi is a proven solution for promoting women’s autonomy over their health seeking behaviors, enabling self-care, and facilitating access to quality maternal health services across the pregnancy-postpartum continuum. Our proposed solution will equip pregnant women in India with essential information, access to private and public sector health providers, and make the connections that they need for a safe and respectful maternal health journey, thereby reducing the risk of maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality.
